You can make your own interactive desktop background using Flash software and a Windows feature known as Active Desktop, which permits you to customise items on your computer's desktop. You can also place your HTML file or Flash file on the wallpaper to make it more interactive.

    Create a Flash file using Flash software such as Powerbullet or Toufee. Download Powerbullet Presenter for free online. Install the software by clicking the downloaded setup.exe file.

    Click "Start -> All Programs -> Powerbullet Presenter" to load the software. Click "File -> New" to create a new presentation and enter a name for the presentation. Click "Insert -> Images" and then "Browse" to locate your image. Click "Add" to add the image.

    Click "Export" in the menu, select "Auto Advance" and enter an interval during which your desktop changes. Click the "Loop" box and then "Export" to export the presentation file. The exported file is in HTML.

    Click "Start -> Control Panel -> Display Properties." In the Display Properties interface, select the "Desktop" tab and click the "Customize Desktop" button. Click the "Web" tab in the Desktop Items page. Check "My Current Home Page" and click "New" button to add the HTML file you have created to your desktop. Click "Apply" to make the new desktop active.
