A broken door handle on a Mk4 Golf is a headache for any owner. This is an especially frustrating problem if it is the driver's door that you cannot open. In addition, any non-functioning door on the car poses a serious safety risk should you or a passenger need to escape the vehicle immediately. If you notice your door handle has become damaged you need to remove it from your Golf in order to have it replaced.
