Wire mesh is often used by builders and flooring specialist when pouring concrete floors. 1. 1

Measure the area where you will pour the concrete. Measure accurately with a tape measure, as you will need to know the exact size of the area so that you can purchase the correct size of mesh. Once you have measured the area, write the figure down on a piece of paper so that you don't forget the measurements

  2. 2

Decide whether you want to order wire mesh sheets or wire mesh on rolls. Wire mesh sheets are ideal for a smaller project. If you have a larger project, then you will need to order a greater amount of wire mesh, which is almost always sold in rolls. The only disadvantage of wire mesh on rolls is that you have to roll out the wire and then try to flatten it, which can be time-consuming and difficult.

  3. 3

Find a vendor that sells wire mesh. It is often called 21-pound mesh. Call or visit your local hardware store or building supply store. Any place that sells construction supplies and concrete will usually carry wire mesh. When you speak to an associate at the store, ask about the price of the mesh, delivery options and delivery costs. Then, call or visit several other stores in the area so that you can compare the prices and find the best option for your budget.
