Yale Lock is a company that manufactures and markets security locks for doors. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Assa Abloy, headquartered in Lenoir City, Tennessee. You can remove a Yale Lock from a door by unscrewing the faceplate and interior assembly and pulling the different sections of the lock from the door.
Open the door that contains the Yale Lock you want to remove. Unscrew the two screws located on the faceplate of the lock. The faceplate is located on the side of the door. Pull the faceplate off the lock with your hand.
Unscrew the two screws located on the lock's interior assembly. The interior assembly is located on the side of the lock that is not keyed. Pull the interior assembly out of the lock with your hand.
Pull the locking assembly from the lock. The locking assembly is located on the other side of the door. This is the keyed portion of the lock.
Pull the remaining section of the lock from the side of the door through the faceplate hole. You have now removed the Yale Lock from your door.
