Spoon Sports is an automotive performance company that makes parts and accessories for Honda vehicles. The Spoon spoiler for the Honda Civic is for a hatchback Civic and fits at the top of the rear glass, just under the roof line. This spoiler stops air flow from falling straight down the back of the car and deflects it off of the end of the spoiler for better handling and gas mileage. Install a Civic Spoon spoiler in under 30 minutes using very few tools.

  1. 1

Open the hatch door of the Civic. In the jamb of the hatch there are four 10mm bolts, one on each hinge of the hatch door. Remove them using the ratchet and 10mm socket.

  2. 2

Unplug the connector from between the car and the hatch door, which is located in the jamb of the hatch. The connector is for the third brake light on top of the hatch and doesn't need to be connected again.

  3. 3

Place the Spoon spoiler on the outside of the hatch door near the top. Line up the holes from the removed bolts with the holes in the spoiler. Install the bolts through the holes so that they tighten the spoiler to the car. Close the hatch door.
