The Star Wars universe has many character that you can derive your costume from. The Republic Commando is the latest creation of George Lucas. Republic Commandos are the clone troopers used for special assignments during the first three movies (the prequels), though they only appear in select video games. Making a Republic Commando costume is not difficult and can be done fairly inexpensively.

  1. 1

Spray paint the protective gear, including the boots and helmet, white. Flip the protective pad pieces over and spray paint any places you missed on the outside and on the straps. When you have achieved full coverage stop spray painting and let the paint dry for half an hour.

  2. 2

Separate the pieces, leaving at least three feet between them.

  3. 3

Cut a three inch by five inch rectangle from a piece of cardboard to make a template. Cut a geometric shaped hole out of this template to use as a stencil to make the camouflage design on your armour.

  4. 4

Place the cardboard stencil over the upper body armour pieces and helmet, and spray paint some of the areas orange. The majority of the amour should be white so do not go overboard.

  5. 5

Put on your white sweatpants and long sleeve shirt. Put on the boots first then the rest of your armour. The toy gun should be a Star Wars toy gun, but a Nerf gun spray painted white will suffice.
