Thule Roof Rack Fitting Instructions

Updated February 21, 2017

Choosing a Thule roof rack for your car can be a tricky process. The feet connecting the roof rack to the vehicle vary widely depending on the make, model, and year of the car. The easiest way to find the fit for your vehicle is to use the Thule Fit Guide on the Thule website. This interactive tool allows you to select the right parts for your vehicle and order them through the website.

Access the Thule Fit Guide website, as specified in the References section of this article.

Select the item you want to carry on the roof of your vehicle. For vehicles without factory-installed roof racks, choose "Base Racks."

Select the make, model, body type, and year of your vehicle. For example, for a 2008 Nissan Versa hatchback, you would first select Nissan, then Versa, then five-door hatchback 2007 - 2011, then the exact year. The website suggests recommended packages of roof racks for your vehicle.

Select the package you wish to purchase. The website fit tool will ask about accessories such as bike racks and fairings. Select any accessories you wish to purchase.

Click "Continue" to purchase the items you have selected, or print out a list to take to a local dealer.

If your vehicle does not appear on the Fit Guide, there may not be a Thule rack for your vehicle. Call Thule at (800) 238-2388 for the latest fit information.
