For many skateboarders looking to buy a new deck, style and design is of the utmost importance because it's considered a form of artistic expression. By visiting online skateboard stores and creating a custom skateboard deck, you can upload pictures from your computer and make an original design that really captures your identity.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Go to a website such as BoardPusher, Warehouse Skateboards, Skate Hustler or Zazzle. These websites allow you to create your own design or upload images from your computer and imprint them on a blank skateboard deck.

  2. 2

Select the dimensions of the skateboard deck you want to customise. Some websites will also let you choose different styles of skateboards such as longboards, old-school boards and cruiser-style boards.

  3. 3

Make a custom design for the deck by using the website's colour palette. If available, you can also import pictures to print on the deck.

  4. 4

Preview your design after you have finished adding all the elements you want to have printed on the deck. Use the zoom feature to get a closer look and make sure your design is the way you want it. If you think something doesn't look right, go back and try making adjustments or resizing images.

  5. 5

Click the "Add to Cart" or "Checkout" button once you are completely satisfied with your design. You will then be asked to select a payment method and, after it has been approved, your custom deck will be sent to you. Alternatively, you can just print pictures of your designs and display them as art.
