Unplug the treadmill from the wall outlet. Unscrew the five screws that hold the motor hood to the treadmill frame. Remove the motor hood and set aside along with the five screws.
Loosen the two adjustment bolts at the rear end of the treadmill that secure the rear end cap. Remove the rear end cap and set it aside.
Lift up and remove both side rails from the treadmill.
Lift the front of the motor belt off the front roller. Slide the other end of the belt from the rear roller.
Remove the four bolts on both sides of the walking deck and set aside. Lift the left side of the walking belt off of the treadmill base. Slowly slide the belt off of the deck and discard it. Slide a new walking belt onto the deck from the left side.
Apply half a tube of lubricant between the top part of the deck and belt and the other half of the tube between the underside of the deck and belt. Apply the lubricant lengthwise along the deck.
Lower the walking belt back onto the centre of treadmill base and tighten the four bolts on both sides of the deck.
Reattach the drive belt to the front roller. Slide the back of the walking belt back onto the rear roller.
Reattach the two hand rails. Return the rear end cap on top of the rear of the treadmill base and secure the cap in place with the adjustment bolts. Return the motor hood to the front of the treadmill base and secure in place with the screws.
Plug the treadmill back into the wall socket and turn it on. Let it run at two to three miles per hour for five minutes to allow the lubricant to be distributed evenly along the deck and belt. Do not stand on the treadmill during this time.
