Flexfit has patented their technology for producing baseball hats. These hats feature breathable materials and vent holes around the cap and a flexible headband and material for comfortable wear. Although you cannot make your own Flexfit hat without breaking the company's copyright, you can make a Flexfit hat your own by customising the design. You can embroider the cap with your own design by hand or with the help of an online vendor that does the needlework for you.

Make a Flexfit Hat Your Own With Embroidery

  1. 1

Remove the screw from the embroidery hoops. Place the smaller hoop of the embroidery hoops below the Flexfit hat, against the fabric where you wish to embroider. Place the larger hoop over the Flexfit hat around the area that the smaller hoop is pressing against. Tighten the larger hoop to the smaller hoop, pinching the FlexFit fabric, by rethreading the screw into the larger hoop.

  2. 2

Draw your design with a pencil onto the taut area of the Flexfit hat between the two embroidery hoops.

  3. 3

Cut a foot of thread with your scissors. Cut the tip of the thread again with the scissors, making it easier to insert the thread into the eye of the needle. Insert the thread into the eye of the needle by pinching the thread with your thumb and forefinger and pressing the eye around the thread. Tie off the end of the thread around the eye.

  4. 4

Press the needle through the Flexfit cap from the underside of the cap, behind a starting point of your design. Press the needle back through from the outside to the underside of the cap. Continue this process until the thread has almost run out.

  5. 5

Slip the needle through the thread on the underside of the cap a few times. Do not go through the fabric of the cap. Form a loop with the last of the thread. Press the needle through this loop. Pull the loop tight. Cut the needle loose from the thread. This forms a knot below the cap. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until you have completed the design you made between the embroidery hoops. Remove the embroidery hoops from the Flexfit cap.
