How to Remove a Honda Console

Updated July 20, 2017

Most Honda models contain a console located in the centre between the front driver and passenger seats. Your Honda console encases your emergency brake lever and has a storage compartment in the centre rear. It is not uncommon to sometimes have to remove the centre console on your Honda. For example, if you ever have to work on the emergency brake the centre console has to be removed. Removal takes approximately 10 minutes.

Open the centre console storage bin and remove all of its contents so you can access the bottom of the bin.

Locate the screws on the inside bottom of the centre console storage bin. Remove these storage bin screws with your Phillips screwdriver.

Examine the area where the centre console joins and attaches to the plastic frame surrounding your shifter. You will find a screw on either side of the shifter frame. Unscrew these two screws and then pull the centre console up and out of your Honda.
