The Opalescence PF 20 Teeth Whitening System is a mould-based teeth whitening application obtained from your dentist. It has been shown effective at removing stains from foods and beverages, as well as natural discolouration from ageing. While your dentist should be the sole arbiter of specific instructions, it helps to keep in mind a few general reminders of how to use the Opalescence PF 20 Teeth Whitening System.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Insert a bead of whitening gel into the tooth mould around halfway up and from molar to molar on the incisal edge of the tray. This refers to the cutting edge of the incisor and cuspid teeth on the tray.

  2. 2

Insert the mould tray into your mouth, preferably before bedtime, as this is easier than walking around with the mould in your mouth during the day.

  3. 3

Leave the tooth mould tray in your mouth for two to four hours for the 20 per cent solution.

  4. 4

Remove the moulded tray from your mouth when the time is up. Clean the tray with a cool water and a soft brush before your next application.
