How to Remove the Front Seat in a Saab

Updated April 17, 2017

The front seats in your Saab must be kept in the best possible condition in order to provide a safe and secure drive for everyone in the vehicle. If either of your front seats become damaged it can cause serious safety issues should the vehicle crash or be damaged in a way. If you notice any serious damage to your front seat, you need to remove it from your vehicle in order to have it repaired or replaced.

Place your vehicle in an area where there is enough room to comfortably remove your seat from the vehicle.

Pull the front seat which you wish to remove forward as far as it will go in order to expose the mounting bolts which fix the seat in place.

Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts at the foot of the seat. Start with the back bolts first. Once the back bolts have been removed push the seat all the way back to expose the front bolts.

Remove the front bolts in the same way as you removed the back ones. Once the bolts are removed, grab the seat at its base and carefully lift the seat off the ground.

Tilt the seat in the direction of the door which you will remove the seat from. Have someone help you lift the seat out of the vehicle to ensure no extra damage is done to the seat or the interior of the Saab.
