The Konica-Minolta Bizhub C450 is a multifunctional colour device that prints and copies up to 45 pages per minute. The device can also be configured to be a network printer and scanner. The C450 comes in many different configurations, including having more than the standard number of paper trays. A "set paper tray" is the default paper tray and is standard on all configurations. When frequent jamming is an issue, taking some troubleshooting steps may prevent you from having to pay for a trained service technician to fix the problem.

- Can of compressed air
- Fresh supply of paper
Remove all paper from the paper tray. Old, damp or wrinkled paper will cause an increase in paper jams. Paper stored in humid rooms absorbs moisture, which causes the paper to curl as well as to produce static electricity when passing through the copier. If your paper feels damp, is curled or wrinkled, use it for scrap paper and not for use in the C450.
Clean the paper tray. Use a can of compressed air to remove as much dust, dirt and paper dust from the paper trays as possible. All these particles can cause paper to jam either when first being pulled from the paper tray or anywhere in the copier.
Check the feeder tires. The C450 uses a set of feeder tires to draw the paper from the paper tray and bring it into the imaging section of the copier. Use a flashlight to check the feeder tires in the paper tray, looking for excessive wear, pitting or cracks. If the tires are damaged or worn out, you will need to install a new set of feeder tires.
Adjust feeder tire pressure. If you are using heavy paper, increase the pressure the feeder tires use. On each side of the feeder tire rocker arm are two set screws. Tightening these screws will increase the pressure of the feeder tires to accommodate heavier or thicker paper stocks.
