Primavera 6 is a project portfolio management software application distributed by Oracle. Primavera 6 utilises both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases for installation and distribution. You can use Primavera 6 to track and manage multiple projects by time, results and expense. Primavera 6 can be used by Enterprise, midsized and small businesses to create reports for project-management analysis.

    Insert the Primavera 6 installation CD into the computer's CD/DVD drive. Click "Start," "Computer." Locate the CD icon on the "Computer" screen.

    Click "Install Client Applications," "Next." Enter the Primavera product code when prompted. Read the licensing terms and select "I agree" if you do. Click "Next."

    Choose what set-up type you prefer when prompted, such as "Primavera Client Applications," "Primavera Stand Alone" or "Custom" set-up. Click "Next."

    Enter the storage destination for the Primavera 6 application when prompted and click "Next." Enter where you want the Primavera 6 "Common Files" stored and click "Next."

    Check the boxes next to the features you want installed and click "Features to Install," "Next." Enter a name for the program folder in the "Program Folder" window and click "Next." Click "Install." Click "Finish" when the installation is complete. Reboot the computer.
