How to Find a Song Name by Typing in the Lyrics

If you can remember the key lyrics to a song, you can almost always track down the song name. To do so, you can use a variety of online websites designed for just this task. Each website allows you to search for song names in a similar fashion. After typing in the lyrics, you are able to browse a list of songs with matching lyrics and identify the song you are after.

Go to the Songlyrics.com website.

Choose the "Advanced Search" option.

Type in the lyrics for the song you want to find the name of into the "Search" box.

Highlight the "Phrase" button if you are sure the lyrics you typed in are an exact match. Highlight the "Scattered Words" button if you are unsure of the exact lyrics.

Click the "Go" button and the site generates a list of song names that contain the lyrics you typed into the "Search" box.

Choose "Lyrics" as your search option.

Type in the lyrics for the song you want to find the name of into the "Search" box.

Click the "Search" button and the site generates a list of song names that contain the lyrics you typed into the "Search" box.

Type in the lyrics for the song you want to find the name of into the "Search" box.

Click the "Search" button and the site generates a list of song names that contain the lyrics you typed into the "Search" box.
