DXR (Protected Macromedia Director Movie) is a file extension for video or animation data generated by the Macromedia Director program. DXR files are generally stored in a non-editable format. WMV (Windows Media Video) is a Microsoft-made digital video compression format used by numerous common codecs and players. In order to convert from DXR to WMV, a conversion program must be used. Several of these are available online as free trial downloads.
