How to Extract Contacts From NBU

NBU is a proprietary filetype utilised by Nokia devices to store all of the information accessed by the device, including appointments, home addresses, e-mail addresses and phone numbers. You can use the Nokia PC Suite desktop application to access the contact directory in a Nokia device's NBU file for extraction.

Instructions

    Open the Nokia PC Suite application that is associated with the NBU file you would like to extract contact information from.

    Click "Contacts" from the toolbar.

    Click the top contact and press the "Ctrl" and "A" keys on your keyboard simultaneously to select all of your contacts.

    Click "File" from the top menu and select "Export." Choose where you would like to save the file on your computer and click "OK." Nokia Suite will automatically export your contact list as a CSV file, which is a widely used filetype for transferring contact information.
