Your Luxor television comes with a parental control setting. This setting may lock certain or all channels on your television set. This prevents your children from viewing inappropriate channels or television shows. To unlock this setting, you need to enter a four-digit code. If you do not have the code, you can find other ways of unlocking your television.
Turn on the television with the remote. You will need the original remote to enter the unlock code. If you do not have one, ask the manufacturer for one.
Press the "Function" and "Mute" buttons at the same time. This unlocks a certain channel but keeps all other channels locked.
Unlock all of the channels by entering a factory reset code. You can enter three codes. These are 0711, 6688 or 3308. Try each one until it unlocks the television. This restores your television to its factory settings, which means that you will lose your favourite channels, clock and automatic timers.
Alternatively, call Luxor technical support. Provide the representative with the model number and serial number of the television, located in your user manual. Ask for an unlock code.
Enter the unlock code, as provided by the representative. Wait for all of the channels to unlock automatically.
A television repair specialist may have to rewire the television for it to unlock.
