A hard disk password can be removed easily from an IBM Thinkpad T20 laptop, depending on the type of password you would like to change. There are two types of passwords built into an IBM Thinkpad T20: a supervisor password and a master hard drive password. A supervisor password is set at the IBM factory during the laptop manufacturing time and cannot be changed or removed. A master hard drive password can be changed or removed as needed.
