How to Program a Phone Extension on the NEC Aspire

The Aspire series multi-button phone system from NEC has a number of features to accommodate users within business environments. It has 15 standard feature keys for functions such as speakerphone and answering machine messaging. The NEC Aspire also has a set of programmable key that can be programmed to save a certain phone number to allow for one-button access to that number. Phone extension numbers can also be programmed into these function keys.

    Press the "Call 1," then press "851," then press the "Function" key that you want to program the extension number to.

    Press the "Ext." key, then enter the extension number into the phone keypad.

  3. 3

    Press the "Check" button, then press the "Function" key that you are programming. You will see the extension number display on the phone's LED screen.
