A "softmodded" Wii is a Nintendo Wii on which aftermarket software has been installed, which modifies the Wii's desktop operating system. Softmodding your Wii does not prevent you from playing original Nintendo Wii games, such as "Super Mario Bros. Wii." To play "Super Mario Bros. Wii" on a softmodded Wii, first softmod your Wii console.
