Wilma always had to work with a budget but was able to create some spectacular things. This year, attend your Halloween or costume party in a very inexpensive, extraordinary costume that will allow you stay under budget but remain fabulous.

Things you need

  • White cotton sleeveless dress
  • 3-inch styrofoam balls
  • Fishing wire
  • Knitting needle

    Remove the left strap of a white cotton sleeveless dress. Start at the arm pit of the left strap and cut at an angle, going across the chest, to the right strap.

    Cut 5- to 6-inch triangles around the bottom seam of your dress to give it a jagged caveman look.

    Add styrofoam balls to fishing wire using a knitting needle to make a necklace. The necklace should rest close to your throat. Tie the ends of the fishing wire together to complete your necklace.

    Wear your hair in a bun as a finishing touch. For a more authentic look, go barefoot.
