How to Make a Single Toe Straightener at Home

Updated April 17, 2017

Individuals break their toes very often, however there is not a whole lot that will be accomplished from a trip to the hospital. When walking seems like a difficult task, you may not be able to go to the pharmacy to purchase a toe straightener. With a simple medical kit, you can create your own single toe straightener to support your toe in a short amount of time.

Measure the length of the toe and cut the two craft sticks to the measured lengths.

Wrap the toe with one piece of tissue. This will create a more comfortable fit for the toe straightener.

Place a craft stick on the top and bottom side of the toe. Wrap medical tape around the sticks to hold them in place. Wrap tightly to hold it in place and leave the end of the toe exposed.

If you do not have craft sticks, use 1/4 inch thick twigs.

Things You'll Need

  • 2 wooden craft sticks
  • Tape measure
  • Medical tape
  • Utility knife
  • Tissue
