The Samsung Syncmaster 203B is an LCD display that is used with a desktop computer. Typically, you do not want to take the monitor apart because it will void the warranty. However, once the unit is out of warranty, you can take it apart if it no longer works. Opening the Syncmaster 203B display allows you to see the internal components and how the unit was assembled.

Things you need
- Towel or cloth
- Phillips head screwdriver
Lay a towel or cloth out on a table or desk. Set the LCD display facedown on the towel or cloth.
Find the screws that are located around the perimeter of the bezel. Remove the rubber or plastic caps to expose the screws, if necessary.
Remove the screws with the Phillips head screwdriver. Set the screws aside.
Pry gently on the bezel to separate it from the frame. Pull the bezel off and set the bezel aside. You will now see two metal brackets that are secured by a screw.
Remove the screws from the brackets with the Phillips head screwdriver.
Disconnect the ribbon cable for the inverter, which is at the bottom centre of the display. Manoeuvre the connector, if needed, to disconnect the cable.
Pull the LCD display out of the back casing of the frame. Set the display aside.
