Fantasy wargaming is a tabletop game that involves playing against others with miniature statues that are used to represent the players. These miniatures can be painted and designed according to the owner's liking. Warhammer Fantasy Battle is a miniature wargame that has been around since 1983, and encompasses a clan of rat-like creatures called the Skaven Plague Monks. You can paint your own Skaven Plague Monk figurines.

Things you need

  • Skaven Plague Monks figures
  • Paintbrush
  • Modelling sand
  • PVA glue
  • Game Workshop brand paint colours:
  • Knarloc Green
  • Codex Grey
  • Tallarn Flesh
  • Dwarf Flesh
  • Dwarf Bronze
  • Gunmetal
  • Chainmail
  • Mithril Silver
  • Skull White
  • Chaos Black
  • Chaos White
  • Devlan Mud wash

    Assemble all the pieces that came with the wargame statue set.

    Paint on PVA glue to the base of the monks and then dip in modelling sand.

  3. 3

    Dry pieces.

  4. 4

    Spray paint the pieces with Chaos Black.

  5. 5

    Paint the fur of the monks with Calthan Brown.

  6. 6

    Paint the skin, tail and feet of the monks with Tallarn Flesh.

  7. 7

    Mix Knarloc Green and Codex Gray in a 1-to-1 ratio and paint on the cloth of the monks.

  8. 8

    Paint the weapons and belt buckles with Gunmetal.

  9. 9

    Paint skull pendants and other ornamental objects with Chaos White.

  10. 10

    Apply Devlan Mud wash over the entire monk pieces.
