The HP 6820s notebook is a 17-inch multimedia notebook available with an Intel Core 2 Duo or Intel Celeron processor. The Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) controls the system hardware and loads the Windows Vista bootloader. The bootloader receives the hardware information, passes it to the Windows kernel and then starts Windows Vista. The BIOS password prevents a user from inadvertently changing settings. If you forget the BIOS password, it can be reset to the default no-password setting to gain access.
