Things you need
- Soft cloth
- Spring bar tool
- Fast-strap replacement band with spring bars
Lay a cloth on a smooth, flat surface such as a worktable. Turn your watch over and place it on the cloth face down to protect the watch face.
Compress and release the spring bar to remove your old watchband. Insert the forked end of the spring bar tool between the strap and lug, setting it on the shoulder of the spring bar.
Gently press down toward the strap and away from the watch lug until the spring bar releases and the strap detaches. Turn the watch around and repeat for the other strap.
Place a new spring bar into the end sleeve of one fast-strap band. Use the pointed end of the spring bar tool to push it through. Make sure that both ends of the spring bar protrude from the strap.
Turn the strap over so that the underside is facing up. Fit one end of the spring bar into the corresponding hole in the lug.
Align the other side of the spring bar with the opposite hole. Press inward on the bar with the spring bar tool to shorten the length and guide it in. Make sure the spring bar is secure, then repeat the process to attach the remaining strap.
