How to Make Your Own Elegant Long Stem Cigarette Holder

A cigarette holder worthy of an old-time movie queen can be made from polymer clay. The secret to the strength of the cigarette holder's base is a bamboo chopstick, which will allow the polymer clay to act as a decorative material suitable for jewelled embellishments. This cigarette holder could be a great prop for a Halloween costume or a glamorous accessory for a teenage fantasy dress-up party that incorporates making the holders in a craft session.

Roll the polymer clay with the rolling pin into a 1/3-inch thick sheet of clay.

Cut a triangle of clay to measure 14 inches long and 3 inches wide.

Wrap the chopstick in the clay, covering the chopstick completely. Push a wooden skewer 2-inches into the wide and thick end of the covered chopstick to create a channel for the cigarette.

Place the covered chopstick on a baking tray and bake it in a 175-degree Fahrenheit oven for 20 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes.

Glue crystal beads on the cigarette holder with the epoxy glue.
