The SETool Lite is a program that can be used for flashing Sony Ericsson mobile phones. Flashing the Sony Ericsson phone using SETool Lite means you are changing or rewriting the original firmware of the Sony Ericsson mobile phone. This process can be used to debrand the phone, unlock it or upgrade it.

Download the free ware SETool Lite to your computer. (See Resources.)
Install the SETool Lite software on the computer by double-clicking the file.
Click on the "Start" button on the computer and go to the computer's "Device Manager."
Turn off the Sony Ericsson phone and remove its battery. Wait for at least 10 seconds before you put back the battery of the phone. Turn it on again and press the "C" button on the Sony Ericsson phone. This is located in the upper-right corner.
Connect the mobile phone to the computer through the USB port. The "USB Flash Device" will then appear on the "Device Manager."
Right-click "USB Flash Device" and then select "Update Driver Software."
Click "Browse my computer for driver software" when another window prompts you. Press the "Browse" button and select the folder where the SETool Lite USB Flash Drivers are installed.
Click on the "Next" button to start the installation. Wait for the installation to be completed.
Switch off the Sony Ericsson phone and launch the SETool Lite application. Choose the model of the Sony Ericsson phone from the SETool Lite window.
Press the "Add" button and choose the Main and FS files from the download folder.
Look for the archive with the customisation files in the ZIP folder and select it. The customisation details will appear on the left side of the window when the computer recognises the program.
Hit the "Flash" button to start flashing the Sony Ericsson phone. Press and hold the "C" button of the mobile phone while it is still connected to the computer. Wait until the process is completed.
Unplug the Sony Ericsson phone from the computer. Turn it off and take out its battery. Wait for five seconds and put back the battery again. Turn on the Sony Ericsson phone again. The phone will automatically restart. It will initialise for one or two minutes and after that, the phone will be flashed.
