The Asus 701 is a highly portable mini laptop (also referred to as a "netbook") that uses a solid state drive--also known as an SSD--to store operating system files as well as user information such as digital pictures and downloads from the Internet. The netbook is designed primarily as a tool to browse the Internet so the factory installed SSD usually does not have enough space to store large amounts of information. Replace the factory installed SSD on an Asus 701 with an SSD that has larger storage space so that more user information can be saved to the netbook.
