It's easy to create your own T-shirts using iron-on transfer papers. Designs can be printed on special paper, and then cut to size and ironed onto almost any fabric. To make T-shirts with printed letters, it is essential to print the transfers properly to ensure that the words will be readable once printed.

Choose a design for your T-shirt and decide what you would like it to say. Insert the picture into an image editing program such as Microsoft Paint.
Click on the "Text" icon and click on the area on the page where you would like the text to be placed. Drag the icon to make the box larger.
Choose a font, font size and any additional attributes you would like to include in the text. Keep your mouse positioned inside the text box so the box remains selected.
Click on the rotate button and choose "Flip Horizontal." This can also be done using the same process for images.
Print out the finished product onto the iron-on transfer paper. The text will be backward, but readable in a mirror. Follow the instructions included with the paper to iron the transfer onto the T-shirt.
