The Apple iPhone has been designed for use with Global System for Mobile Communications, or GSM, telephone systems. All mobile phones connected to a GSM network contain a Subscriber Identity Module, or SIM card. Every SIM card has a unique Integrated Circuit Identifier (ICCID) that can be 19 to 20 digits long. Similarly, every mobile telephone manufactured today is assigned a unique International Mobile Equipment Identity number (IMEI). To verify these identifiers on your iPhone, open the Settings app and drill down.

Instructions

  1. 1

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Typically, it will be on your first home screen, so look for a grey-coloured app with an image of gears on the icon.

  2. 2

Select the "General" menu from within Settings by tapping on it. This menu has the same image as the app does, of gears.

  3. 3

Tap the "About" menu, which should be at the very top.

  4. 4

Scroll down and look for the IMEI and ICCID in the list and note the numbers provided. These are pulled straight out of the phone, so you can guarantee their accuracy.
