How to Make Purple Paint
You can make your own purple paint by mixing primaries. (Purple blot image by Igor A. Bondarenko from Fotolia.com)

In order to create a painting that has depth and interest, it is helpful to know how to properly combine different colours so that you will be able to use the entire spectrum. You can make all of the secondary colours by combining the three primary colours, which are red, yellow and blue. For example, by combining red and blue in a specific way, you can create purple paint that can be used in your artwork.
