How to get rid of cellulite with coffee grounds

Updated February 21, 2017

Cellulite is an unsightly condition, which appears as lumps on the surface of the skin. Cellulite has a cottage cheese-like appearance. Genetics, a sedentary lifestyle and poor circulation can all cause cellulite. Caffeine is an ingredient in some over-the-counter cellulite creams. Applying caffeine to the skin increases circulation. It also firms up the skin. Try caffeine for reducing the appearance of cellulite, using coffee grounds.

Mix together 1/2 cup of coffee grounds with two to three splashes of olive oil. Use just enough olive oil to create a spreadable mixture. Make sure that it's mixed together thoroughly.

Massage the mixture directly on the skin affected by cellulite. Move your hand in large and small circles while doing so. Do this on all areas with cellulite.

Wrap cling film firmly around the treated skin.

Roll your entire body up in a blanket. The warmer you get, the better. Do this in a warm room if possible. Perspiration helps the skin release toxins. Thus, the coffee grounds are absorbed better by the skin. Do this for 20 minutes.

Remove the blanket and cling film. Wash off the mixture from the treated skin with warm water. Towel dry the skin as usual.

Effects of this treatment are usually short-term.
