Check that the power cord is plugged in correctly. This step should be performed if you don't see LED displayed on the box's front panel, or if there is no power supply.
Make sure that your Kaon HDTV receiver is turned on, if there is no picture on your TV. Check that the cables going from your box to your TV are connected securely. Another reason for not seeing the picture on your TV is having the TV set on the wrong channel, or on the wrong video output. Usually, you will need to be on channel 3 or 4, and the input will depend on the input you chose to connect the HDTV Kaon box to your TV.
Check that the RF cable located on the back of your box is connected properly and securely if the quality of the picture being displayed on your TV is poor. Check the volume level of both your TV and the Kaon HDTV receiver if you are not getting any sound. To accomplish this, simply turn up the volume using both your TV's and your receiver's remote control. Make sure that you don't have your TV, or your Kaon HDTV receiver on mute mode. If it is on mute, simply press the "Mute" button on the corresponding remote control.
Point your Kaon HDTV remote control directly towards the box making sure that nothing is blocking the front panel of the receiver. This should help if your remote control is not operating properly. You may need to replace the batteries.
Check that the smart card located on the front of your receiver is appropriate for the service you selected when you got your Kaon HDTV receiver. The smart card will display the name of the service you selected. If it doesn't match the name of the service you chose, then your service will not run, or your signal will be scrambled. if this is the case, call your distributor to get the problem fixed.
Reset your PIN code if you forgot it. To accomplish this, press the "Color" buttons displayed at the bottom of your remote in the following order: "Red," "Green," "Yellow" and "Blue." Once you perform this task, your PIN code will change to "0000."
