How to Get Sleep Mode to Work on My Hackintosh

"Hackintosh" is a term used to describe a computer not made by Apple that is running a version of the Mac OS X operating system. If you have a PC, for example, you can use this technology to install the Mac OS X operating system on it. Hackintosh allows you to use all functions of the Apple operating system on non-Apple machines, including the "Sleep" mode.

    Select the "Apple" icon from the top-left corner of your Hackintosh computer's desktop.

    Click the "Sleep" option. This will put your Hackintosh computer to sleep.

    Close the lid of your Hackintosh machine, if it is a laptop computer. This is an alternate method for initiating "Sleep" mode, only available on laptops.
