The BlackBerry Curve 8330 belongs to a series of smartphones that let users accomplish a variety of tasks, such as view data files, work on projects and send e-mails. The Curve 8330 contains extra features, including a video camera and GPS navigation. Because the 8330's keypad is exposed at all times, this makes the phone vulnerable to accidental key presses. These key presses can cause unwanted phone calls to be made, and can open the phone's programs, causing its battery life to drain quickly. To prevent these things, the 8330's keyboard may be locked, then unlocked with a few button presses.
