The Panasonic SA-AK630 CD stereo system is designed to play CDs and tune radio stations while providing high-quality sound. After setting up your system, you may have a few questions about how to perform some basic operations, such as playing a compact disc or listening to the radio. Master some of the basic controls and you'll be performing your own tests and operating your SA-AK630 effectively and efficiently.

Push the "Open/Close" button (located to the right of the display) to open the CD player. The unit will power on, if it's not on already, and the disc tray will extend from the top centre of the unit. Insert a CD. To access the other four trays, press the button of the tray ("1" through "5" located on the right side of the display) you would like to access. The numbered button of the tray that is currently extended is illuminated. Place the CD's playable side down into the tray, and push the "Open/Close" button again to close the tray.
Push the "Play/Pause" button (located on the right side of the large "Volume" knob in the centre of the unit) to begin playing the CD of your choice. If you would like to hear a different CD, push the numbered button of the CD you would like to hear. Push the "Play/Pause" button to momentarily pause playback of a CD, and when you'd like to resume play, push the button again. Push the "Stop" button (located to the right of the "Play/Pause" button) to stop the CD completely.
Press the "Rewind" button (located on the left side of the "Volume" knob) once to skip back through the library of tracks of the currently playing CD, or press and hold down the "Rewind" button to scan backwards to a particular place in the currently playing song. Press the "Fast Forward" button (located to the right of the "Volume" knob) once to skip ahead to the next song of the currently playing CD, or push and hold the "Fast Forward" button to scan through the currently playing song to a particular point.
Push the "Tuner/Band" button (located on the left side of the middle of the remote control) to choose the band you desire (AM or FM). Push "Play Mode" (fourth button from the top on the left side of the remote) to specify that you would like to "Manually" tune your radio. Push and hold the "Rewind" or "Fast Forward" button for a few seconds, and then release it, to scan through all of the available stations. The tuner will stop on the first station it finds. If you would like to seek a different station, press and hold down the "Fast Forward" or "Rewind" button once again.
