The Everlast One Gym enables you to perform most common strength training moves with one machine. As a company that specialises in conditioning equipment for boxers, Everlast attempts to provide a total conditioning system for any type of athlete or regular gym user. To use this machine properly, you must master the locking hardware on each separate piece, as well as common strength training exercises that one would perform with barbells and dumbbells. This machine allows you to perform those exercises with a pulley system. The only pitfall is that as you become stronger, there is a finite amount of resistance available to meet your growth.

Skill level:

  1. 1

Unlock the long levers on either side of the machine. Pull them up to the desired position for the exercise you wish to perform. You can lock them vertically, horizontally, or at several diagonal positions. Lock them back in place.

  2. 2

Perform standard strength training exercises with the pulley, straight bar and rope attachments. Possible exercises include the low row, bicep curl, triceps extension, leg extensions and high pulls.

  3. 3

Lock the levers back down to either side of the machine.

  4. 4

Unlock the chair that lies across the base of the machine. Bring it to a tilted sitting position. Lock it in place.

  5. 5

Sit in the chair. Hold the sides of the machine with either hand and tighten your stomach as you press the chair back. This exercise is a reverse sit-up.

Tips and warnings

  • To prevent injury, ask an experienced athlete or weightlifter to show you proper form for each exercise.
  • Consult your physician before starting any new exercise program.
