How to Check the Speed of Sky Broadband

Updated April 17, 2017

Sky Broadband is an Internet service provider in the United Kingdom. It provisions millions of customers with broadband Internet connections. Sky offers a built-in "Sky User Broadband Speed Test" that allows its customers to check their broadband connection while they are connected. The speed test gives you both the upload speed and the download speed on your existing broadband connection. Note that you will need to be connected to Sky Broadband to get the most accurate reading of the connection speed.

Navigate to the "SkyUser - Broadband Speed Test and ISP Checker" website (see References).

Locate the blue coloured box "Sky User Broadband Speed Test" on the right-hand side of the web page.

Click the button that says "Click here to start speed test."

Wait until Sky calculates the upload and download speed on your current broadband connection.

Check your speed once you see the pop-up message box. It will say display ratings in kilobytes per second for both your upload speed and your download speed.
