If you decide to change the phone company you use but keep the phone from a previous company, you will need to have the MSL code to activate it with the new company. Sprint does not give out MSL codes because it is in their interest to keep you as a customer. You can retrieve the MSL code for the phone in a few simple clicks.
- Skill level:
Locate the ESN on the side of the battery. It should be a mix of digits and letters displayed in a hex code.
Launch the phone's web browser.
Enter the URL for "GetSPC" (http://www.5gmobile.us/mobilefiles/VX6800/GetSPC.zip). Download the application to the Sprint phone.
Open the "GetSPC" application on the phone.
Type the ESN code within the "Input" box. An MSL code will be returned.
