All of Research in Motion's BlackBerry smartphones have the unique BlackBerry Messenger instant messaging service. Only available to BlackBerry users, this instant messaging service connects BlackBerry users directly through RIM's servers without the need to send the data over the open Internet, as is the case with other services. BlackBerry Messenger messages are listed as conversations. When you finish a conversation, you can remove it to clear up space in your phone's memory.
