Philips 42-inch 1080p LCD HDTVs allow users to change all sorts of options. You can change the text size and the close-captioning font among other things. When the options have been changed too much, you can reset the HDTV to its factory settings.

    Press the "Menu" button on the remote.

    Click "Setup," then "Installation," then "Factory Settings."

    Press "Enter" on "Factory Settings."
