Erase all of your text messages, e-mails, pictures, files and other data by performing a security wipe on your BlackBerry Curve 8310, which resets the phone to the factory defaults as if the phone was just taken out of the box. This feature is useful if you intend to sell the phone, give the phone away, or if you want to clear the memory of old files to increase performance.

    Click the "Options" icon. This icon is a wrench, and the word "Options" will display across the bottom of the screen.
