Really big robots are exciting for children to play with because they can be as large, or bigger, than the children. If your child would like to make a giant pretend robot to play with, he can make one out of large cardboard boxes and metallic paint. Once the project is finished, your child can play with his giant robot and imagine it is a real robot.

Place a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun, and plug the gun into an electrical socket to heat up for 5 minutes.
Stack three large cardboard boxes on top of each other in the formation you want for your robot.
Hot-glue the boxes together.
Squeeze lines of hot glue over the surfaces of the boxes. You can squeeze straight, curved or spiralling lines. Allow the glue to cool and harden.
Hot-glue two pieces of metallic dryer duct on either side of the robot. These will be the robot's arms.
Hot-glue a metal colander upside down onto the top of the robot's head. This will make the robot look more mechanical.
Paint the cardboard boxes with metallic paint. This will make the hot-glued lines look like wires. Allow the paint to dry completely before playing with the robot.
