Updated February 21, 2017

The Volvo S80 made its debut in 1998 as a mid-sized executive vehicle. You can remove the front bumper from your Volvo S80 right at home, saving yourself some money. Sometimes you need to remove the front bumper due to damage. You may wish to upgrade to an aftermarket bumper to give your Volvo a custom look. In either case, it's a simple procedure taking just about a half hour of your time. You only need a couple of tools that you can find at any auto-parts store if you don't already have them.

Drive onto the car ramp and slide yourself under the Volvo. Find the securing bolts on the sides of the radiator.

Find the plastic locking pins that hold the bumper to the frame and to the side quarter panels. Remove the plastic locking pins by popping them out with a flathead screwdriver. Undo the bolts with the metric socket wrench.

Get out from under the car and stand in front of it. Lift up the front bumper from the bottom to remove it from the frame.

Things You'll Need
