How to Image a QNX Drive

If you are using the QNX operating system, then you may want to create images of your QNX drives. QNX is a Unix-based command-oriented operating system. Due to its Unix-basis, you can use any number of Unix commands freely. You can use the "CP" command, which copies files, and choose to have the destination as a single image file. This will create carbon copies of your drive's folders and files. These tasks need to be performed from your command terminal.

    Type "cp /dev/hdA /dev/hdB/image.img" (without quotes).

    Replace "hdA" with the QNX drive you want to back up.

    Replace "hdB" with the location drive in which you want to store your backup image.

    Replace "image" with the name of your QNX image that you want to create.

  5. 5

    Press "Enter" to execute the imaging process.
