The 2003 Saturn Ion uses a wireless remote to control the locking system. When someone opens the Saturn door without using the correct remote or a programmed car key, the antitheft alarm activates and sounds a loud alarm. You must reset the alarm to stop the beeping. You can reset the antitheft system by using the remote or car key, or waiting the appropriate amount of time for the alarm to disarm itself.
