When you change a password or sign up for a new online service, an activation code is provided via e-mail. This e-mail prompts you to click on a link that redirects you to a web page where you'll need to enter the activation code. When visiting this web page, your IP address can be accessed by the activation-code sender. Your IP reveals various personal details such as your physical location as well as the ISP and computer you operate. You can successfully hide your IP when submitting an activation code by using an anonymous proxy to access the website.

Visit the IP Hider proxy site and use its service to hide your IP address when entering an activation code on any web page (see Resources). With IP Hider you are able to hide your IP address at no charge when surfing the Internet. This proxy also enables you to unblock websites that may be inaccessible on your network.
Type the URL of the web mail service you have an e-mail address with in the text bar displayed on the upper region of the IP Hider page. This will ensure that your IP address is already hidden when you log into your e-mail account; however, if you already have the URL address of the website you have to access to enter the activation code, enter that URL instead.
Click on the "Go!" button showcased within the text bar, and IP Hider will redirect you to the website you need to access to enter the activation code, or to the web mail service site where you have an e-mail account. Log into your e-mail account and open the email that displays the link where you will need to enter the activation code. Click on the link and you will be redirected to the website with your IP address hidden so you can enter the activation code anonymously.
Go to the Browser9 proxy and hide your IP address behind its server to enter an activation code on any website (see Resources). Browser9 is a free proxy site that hides your IP address when you browse the Internet through its server. This anonymous proxy also bypasses Internet browsing restrictions on networks located at work, school or any other place.
Enter the URL of your web mail provider, or the website you need to visit to enter the activation code, in the text box displayed on the bottom region of the Browser9 page.
Click on the "Browse" tab located beside the text box, and Browser9 will send you to your e-mail provider's site or to the website you need to visit to enter the activation code. If you are doing this through your e-mail, log into your e-mail account, open the email that has the information pertaining to the activation code, and click on the link displayed in the email so you can access the website and enter your activation code with your IP concealed. Now enter the activation code with your IP masked.
Navigate to the Anonymous X proxy site and conceal your IP when entering an activation code (see Resources). With Anonymous X you can mask your IP address when visiting any website including a websites where you need to enter an activation code. Anonymous X also circumvents Internet restrictions and is free to use.
Type the web address of your e-mail provider or the website that has the activation code form in the text field located on the bottom left of the Anonymous X page.
Click the "Go" button next to the text field and Anonymous X will fetch the websites you need to visit with your IP address hidden. When performing this task via e-mail, simply log into your e-mail account, open the email with the activation-code information and click on the link displayed therein to access the desired site with your IP address camouflaged. Proceed to type the activation code with your IP address hidden.
